Kent, SD is a small rural town with a population of only 76 people. Despite its small size, it offers many activities and organizations to keep residents busy all year round. Local businesses include the Big Hat Feed Store, Kent Country Store, and the Kent Tire Shop. Outdoor activities range from fishing and hunting in nearby lakes and forests to hiking and camping in the nearby open countryside. Other organizations include the Kent Volunteer Fire Department, local 4-H clubs for children to learn gardening and farming skills, as well as religious groups such as The Church of Latter Day Saints. As for sporting events, the annual Kent County Fair is held every August or September showcasing horse shows, tractor pulls, carnival rides, concerts on the main stage and more.
